ALMANAH EUTERPE are ca scop promovarea creaţiei, activităţii concertistice, spectaculare, de cercetare ştiinţifică şi didactică în domeniul artelor şi culturii.
ALMANAH EUTERPE has the purpose to promote the art creation, the concerts and performances, the scientific and pedagogical research in the field of art.
Denumire / Designation:
„Euterpe este una dintre cele nouă muze, fiica lui Zeus şi Mnemosyne. Numele Euterpe provine din cuvintele greceşti εὖ (bun, bine) şi τέρπ-εω (a face plăcere) şi înseamnă <cea care face multă plăcere>. În perioada clasică, Euterpe era considerată muza poeziei lirice şi era portretizată cu un fluier. Euterpe l-a conceput pe Rhesus, după ce a rămas însărcinată de zeul-fluviu Strymon. Euterpe este menţionată de Hesiod, Apollodor, Cicero şi Diodorus Siculus.”[1]
“In Greek mythology, Euterpe "rejoicing well" or "delight" from Ancient Greek εὖ (well) + τέρπειν terpein (to please) was one of the Muses, the daughters of Mnemosyne, fathered by Zeus. Called the "Giver of delight", when later poets assigned roles to each of the Muses, she was the muse of music. In late Classical times she was named muse of lyric poetry and depicted holding a flute. A few say she invented the aulos or double-flute, though most mythographers credit Marsyas with its invention.”[2]
